Plant broadleaf trees together and learn something from the forest
If your company and your employees support Trinkwasserwald e.V. in nature-based forest conversion, this has many effects that go far beyond the positive environmental protection aspects.
Just planting broadleaf trees together outdoors in nature and working together in the forest promotes team cohesion, because you are working in a different context – Forest and environmental protection – coming together anew, getting to know one another again and creating something visible that you could never achieve alone.
Trinkwasserwald e.V. also offers volunteers with the „Forest Experience World“ an environmental education programme that, during a guided forest tour, vividly conveys the connections between forest and water in the context of climate change. The environmental education programme can be expanded if required with additional modules on team building.
Use CSR and enable employees to engage voluntarily for forests and water
Climate change and its consequences have long since become a task for society as a whole. The same applies to the forest, which still has far too large a share of monoculture coniferous forest areas. These are increasingly suffering from climate change, drought and storms, and must be quickly converted into climate-resilient mixed deciduous forest by planting site-appropriate broadleaf trees.
Planting deciduous trees: A maximum of 50 volunteers, in small groups of 12–15 people, plant broadleaf saplings for one day under guidance to convert a coniferous forest or damaged area into mixed deciduous forest. This creates climate-resilient forests that store rainwater better, improve groundwater recharge, suffer less from damaging events and support greater biodiversity. Working together in the forest and for nature creates meaning and a connection to the ecosystem on our doorstep. At the same time, you work together in a new context – the best opportunity to get to know one another again, and better. And at the end of the day together, you can see what you have achieved together – the foundation for a forest fit for the future has been laid together.
Forest Experience World: The volunteers also take part in a forest tour led by trained environmental educators who explain the ecological connections and provide information about forests and water in the context of climate change. Participants learn how their involvement makes a difference and why it is so important and right, especially now, to create climate-resilient mixed deciduous forests through broadleaf tree planting. If required, the environmental education can also be expanded with appropriate team-building modules.

Learning content at the end of such a day
- Experiencing and appreciating nature, yourself and the team
- learning how forestry can be designed in harmony with nature
- understand the connections between forest and water in the context of climate change
- understanding the direct and indirect consequences of one’s own lifestyle for nature
- Experience self-efficacy and responsibility: plant broadleaf trees to create climate-resilient mixed deciduous forest, for forests fit for the future, greater biodiversity and for generations to come.
Sustainability Reporting
Are you planting climate-resilient mixed deciduous forest with us? You can make your commitment to nature-based forest conversion visible in sustainability reporting, under voluntary engagement, ESRS E3 Water and ESRS E4 Biodiversity. You will receive corresponding impact and donation documentation.

The business case for green action is clear:
Companies that focus on sustainability today not only win their customers’ trust – they also measurably increase their profitability.
The German Society for Consumer Research confirms the shift: sustainability has changed from a nice-to-have to a must-have. Customers consciously buy from companies that take ecological responsibility.
Boston Consulting Group analysed 300 companies and provides the undeniable proof: companies with active socio-ecological commitment achieve up to 8.2% higher profits than the industry average. And: top talent wants to work for meaningful companies, which also reduces staff turnover. The BCG study „Total Societas Impact: A New Lens for Strategy“ shows: sustainability is no longer a cost centre – it is the success factor for future-proof companies.
The question is no longer WHETHER sustainability pays off, but whether you can afford NOT to act sustainably.
Our ecosystems cannot do without your contribution to sustainability. Your commitment is urgently needed.
