Frankfurt am Main, 20 November 2023. With the „Wir für morgen“ prize, Union Investment supports projects that have made a special contribution in the areas of social affairs, education and the environment. Trinkwasserwald e.V. was recognised for its „Wir pflanzen Trinkwasser“ commitment in the environment category as a flagship project. The prize money was used in winter 2024 to reforest a spruce woodland in the Osterode municipal forest (Harz) that had died off due to drought and bark beetles. Thanks to the planting of deciduous trees, it will be transformed into a species-rich mixed broadleaf forest.
